Privacy Policy

Your browsing data stays yours.

We collect only the minimum analytics needed to keep AdFade reliable, and none of it can be used to identify you.

Effective: 13 Nov 2025 Updated: 13 Nov 2025

What we collect

AdFade uses Google Analytics for Extensions to track aggregated, non-identifiable usage data, such as extension version, anonymized events (install, uninstall, update), and basic feature usage. We do not collect page content, browsing history, names, emails, or any data that can personally identify you. We also collect ip addresses and device info for fraud / bot prevention.

Why we collect it

Usage metrics help us understand performance, prioritize features, and make sure updates don’t break popular sites. Insights remain aggregated and are never sold or shared with advertisers. Ip addresses and basic device info helps us detect fraudulent traffic (bots).

Ad campaign attribution

When AdFade is installed after a user clicks an ad, the extension sends a one-time beacon to our tracking server to register a conversion. The beacon contains campaign metadata (like placement ID or click ID) but never includes sensitive data like names, emails, or other identifiable data.

Data usage & sharing

We only use analytics and conversion data internally. We may share high-level aggregated stats (e.g., total installs per region) with partners, but nothing that can be tied back to an individual person or device.

Data retention

Analytics data is automatically purged after 26 months by Google Analytics. Conversion beacons are stored for up to 6 months for reporting and fraud prevention, then permanently deleted.

Your choices

If you don’t want conversion attribution, install AdFade directly from the Chrome Web Store instead of an ad link.
